The Overview
Isabela Sanma is a Guadalajara-based artist exploring dialogues between herself, plants, people, and place. In response to today’s climate crisis, our disconnection from spirit, and the fragility of resources, her practice seeks to transform what is at hand into meaningful encounters. Sometimes the language is flowers; other times it is sticks, rocks, or objects found along the way.
With a background in photography, yoga, and ceramics, Isabela weaves mindfulness, form, and community into her work. Her practice extends beyond floral design into shared spaces and events, where presence and accessibility guide each gesture. At its core, her work asks how art and nature can nurture connection, resilience, and collective care.
